The foundation supports clinical research and fundamental research on cardiovascular diseases. We are pleased to learn that the Deutsche Stiftung für Herzforschung (German Heart Research Foundation) is becoming increasingly established in the public's consciousness. Results of research published so far have been excellent and highly praised by expert groups.
As a rule we finance projects up to a sum of about 80,000 euros and for a period of up to two years. In particular we offer many young researchers a perspective on the future by providing the necessary initial finance thereby smoothing the way a little on the often difficult scientific path.
Our intention is to continue to increase the foundation's funds in order to grant even larger research contracts in the future. We are working actively in various ways to gain new sponsors all the time.
What we support
The foundation places great value on financing research relevant to patients. We support projects where we expect that the results will be of benefit in the future to a broad public.
We provide finance for
- Research contracts in the field of fundamental research (Areas: prevention, diagnostics, therapy, follow-up treatment)
- Clinical studies
- Scientific posts or assistants for a specific time period
- The Deutsche Stiftung für Herzforschung expects a certain degree of collaboration from the researchers receiving sponsorship in making the results accessible to the public - in a form understandable to laypeople and for the professional circles interested.
